One of the more entertaining aspects of seeing long-lost family members is being reminded of all the ways they push your buttons. For instance, making plans with one, worrying when they don't show up, being angry because said plans involve expensive tickets purchased by your mother-in-law, worrying some more, and calling long-lost family member only to hear, "Oh, I got up late".

But that's all I'm going to say about that.

In the meantime, my baby girl turns five next weekend. I've decided, apparently in some sort of drug-induced dementia, to try and make all the food myself. Chili, hot dogs, seven-layer dip, salsa, and cake and ice cream, of course. I won't make the ice cream. I'm no that talented. Hell, pastries are just not my thing in general.
