We finally got the shopping done. Finally. Now I can concentrate on the fun stuff. I really, really want to bake cookies and give them out as gifts. The trick, however, is to have both boys asleep at the same time and not succumb to the siren song of the couch and fall asleep myself. Because sleep is scarce these days. I've only managed to go shopping because Ry and I have been running out and going after the kids are all asleep. Night before last, the kids went to bed at around 8:30. We hit Wal-Mart, which is only two blocks away, and we were home around 9:30. Last night, we made it all the way out to Pearlridge and made it home around the same time. The baby, for some reason, has been waking up at around 11 for the past few days. So, yeah. The holidays steal your sleepy-time. I can say this: thank God for my mother-in-law. She rules. I have learned that fellow shoppers can be extraordinarily helpful during the holiday madness. The other night, one lady overheard us looking for something and told me exactly where it was on another aisle; another woman gave us a complete rundown of the price of another item at other stores. It's hard to be a grinch when people are approaching you and giving you advice. So it hasn't been horrible. anyone watching "Lost"? Did you see the rerun of the pilot last night? Isn't it curious that Jack mentions almost losing a patient and then the other week we find out what he did to his dad? Anybody think we're in for a big reveal? You guys know how much I love my husband? He sent my mom flowers after her surgery. She's doing fine. It'll be at least a month before she can walk again, but she's doing a lot better. | ||||||
