Ding dong, the sub from hell is gone. It was getting to the point where parents were standing outside the class, comparing sub fuck-up stories while waiting for school to get out. In retrospect, I know I must have had teachers worse than her when I was a kid, but this is not me; it's my kid, and she deserves someone better. Her regular teacher is very good, despite already being back to what looks like her pre-baby weight. Bitch. This has been the week of long-unseen people popping in, actually. First was my oldest and dearest friend, who I hadn't talked to in two years. There was lots going on in her life, as it turns out. I'm just glad to hear from her. I was so sure I had written or said something idiotic and pissed her off. I'm so relieved that I heard from her, and I'm looking forward to catching up. I was writing e-mail to her, in fact, when I heard the screen door being rattled back and forth. It was my sister-in-law and the three kids. I was very happy to see them; Diane had said "hey, maybe if I go to Wal-mart one day I'll drop by", so I kind of figured they might one day but the house was a DISASTER (what else is new?) and I was so embarrassed. Anyway, Erik's (my nephew) birthday is on Sunday so they're having a party for him on Saturday. Then next week, we have another party. Full month ahead. in the i-tunes cart: Spring from Vivaldi's Four Seasons I'm still having a hard time getting Zac interested in potty training. It's making me so nervous that I now I'm starting to worry about training Alex without giving him a complex. Ever heard the phrase "potty-trained at gunpoint"? I think that person lived at my house. random opinion: if it doesn't contain gin and vermouth/vodka, it is not a martini. It's a chick drink in a martini glass. Oh, and we're going to Hilo. Yay! | ||||||
