Kill Bill Volume 1

I thought it was incredibly violent. I thought it bordered on brutal. I cringed. I LOVED it.
I wanna see it again. And I can't freaking wait for the sequel. Any fan of Tarantino will appreciate it. Yes, he is the master of self-indulgent filmmaking. Going to a Tarantino film and complaining that it's self-indulgent is like moving next to an airport and complaining about the noise. This is a chick film. You heard me right. It's a chick film, via Hong Kong martial arts movies and spaghetti westerns. Watch the hospital scene and tell me this is not a chick film. Uma kicks butt. So does Lucy Liu; that reminds me, can we give Lucy some decent roles? I can't tell you much more without giving away too much. So I won't. Comments
Ryan and I both agree -- Uma's Japanese was much better than Lucy's. Bizarre.
I thought Sonny Chiba's English was better than Uma Thurman's Japanese. Post a comment
