subject to change. Kill Bill. I got a free pass from my mother-in-law and Ryan watched the kids. And it was a pretty great movie, too. Chicago. I think movie adaptations of Broadway musicals, as a rule, take too many liberties and lose a lot of the pacing that makes them work on stage. But this one is good. I like Queen Latifah. And Richard Gere can sing. Shocking. The Vanishing (original French/Dutch version). The villain doesn't look like a villain, the hero isn't much of a hero , and somehow you know what's going to happen to both of them but it's still pretty awful when it happens. Sex and Lucia. I know, the title sounds like a bad soft-core porn, and in fact, there are quite a few naked people in this movie. But it's got a really interesting story. Amores Perros. Brutal, nasty, but thoughtful and smart at the same time.
