I'm not a fan of political blogs of any stripe, and I figure my rants aren't all that fun to read, so I try not to get too political. But I have this to say about same-sex marriage and this evil, morally reprehensible amendment Dumbya is so hot on: Let's go ask Elizabeth Taylor if she thinks marriage needs to be protected. Let's go ask Britney "Oops, I lost my last brain cell" Spears if she thinks marriages, even two-day ones, are celebrations of a sacred institution under attack. Hey, how about Darva Conger? Bet she has a thing or three to say. Marriage has been screwed since way before gays got the idea to try it themselves. So I'd really love to see another logical argument from all the mealymouthed hypocrites in favor of this amendment. Isn't it funny how the Christian right embrace the "stay out of everyone's business" aspects of the Republican party, except on matters that are actually not any of anyone else's business? |
